How to be More Enthusiastic and Motivated

“Enthusiasm is the electricity of life. How do you get it? You act enthusiastic until you make it a habit.”

– Gordon Parks –

How to be more enthusiastic?

Do you feel enthusiastic, motivated and energetic when starting something new, but after some time, you lose your enthusiasm and interest?

This can happen when begin practicing a self-improvement program, learn meditation, study a new topic, follow a diet, exercise, or do anything else.

Though you acknowledge the importance of what you are doing and know that it most important, still, you let laziness set in, as well as lack of motivation, lack of enthusiasm, and lack of enough self discipline.

This is quite common. After the first spurt of enthusiasm you feel that it is too much for you, too much work and too much effort, and you prefer to quit. You might even feel that what you are doing is a burden.

I have been writing a lot about improving focus and self discipline, and about meditation and self improvement, and I know that often, people start enthusiastically, but over time, their enthusiasm decreases and they need way to boost it again.

This often happens when one does not obtain immediate results. It is the same with losing weight, learning a new skill, building a business, and with any other project. People expect immediate spectacular results, and if they don’t get them they quit and give up.

We all know that motivation plays a crucial role in everyone’s life, but what is it? What is the process of motivation? Let’s go deeper into the theory of motivation and its practice. First let’s define the subject matter to understand what it means. What Does Motivation Mean? This term comes from the word ‘motive’. It is the inner power that pushes you toward taking action and toward achievement. The strong desire to do and accomplish something that important to you. It is the zest, driving force, energy, and the fire burning inside you that keeps you going toward a certain goal. The power that makes you wake up each morning with energy, ready to start your day and work to accomplish your goals. Motivation means enthusiasm, eagerness, passion and interest. The ambition and the desire to do and accomplish things. Motivation is powered by desire and ambition, and therefore, if they are absent, motivation is absent too. Sometimes, motivation is triggered by external factors, such as a bo...
